Dr. Veeranna Pranessh

Dr. Veeranna Pranessh is a Consultant Physician and Diabetologist in Coimbatore. Soon after completing his MBBS from Karnataka's Gulbarga University in 1996, Dr. Pranessh started his private practice. He has 17 years' experience in the medical and paramedical field, covering general practice and emergency medicine in the ICU and CCU. He has worked in various multispeciality hospitals, the Department of TB & Chest Disease, and Preventive and Social Medical Departments.  

Dr. Pranessh completed the PG Diploma in Diabetology at Annamalai University in 2011. He also has a Certificate in Diabetes from Cleveland University, USA. Dr. Pranessh specialises in Diabetic Counselling, Diet for Diabetes, Childhood Diabetes, Diabetes in Pregnancy, Old Age Diabetes, Complication Prevention and Mind Stress Management.   

Dr. Pranessh's private clinic is called Pran's Sai Diabetes Centre, located at Tatabad in Coimbatore. He can be consulted there every evening except Sundays. He is also attached to Kongunadu Hospital, where he has been working as Senior Medical Officer and Diabetologist since October 2008. Earlier he had worked in Karnataka, as Consultant Primary Care Physician at Sri Sai Ganesh Medical Centre, from February 2004 to October 2008, and prior to that as Lecturer/Tutor & Casualty Medical Officer at Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences, from 1997 to 2004.

Dr. Veeranna Pranessh has served on the Secretariat of the Indian Red Cross Society, and as a Monitor for the WHO-sponsored National Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme. He regularly conducts blood donation camps.
